"VAN" (Sports Desk - 27.10.2026) :: The DP World International League T20 organised a day of cricket for Dubai’s hardworking and truly inspirational workforce at Dubai’s Jebel Ali Area as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility Programme. The initiative was aimed at providing rich cricket and entertainment opportunities to the workforce in their own backyard. Now in its third consecutive season, the programme reflects the league’s pride in giving back to the communities that call the UAE home.
More than 100 cricket enthusiasts from the workforce community participated in the day-long cricket tournament which was played at the local community ground – the games were played in great spirit and offered the community the chance to unwind and enjoy themselves to the fullest on their weekend holiday.
The DP World ILT20 will stage the second edition of its workforce CSR initiative next weekend, while similar CSR initiatives have also been planned in the lead-up and during the fifth edition of the biggest T20 league in the Gulf region – 21 November to 20 December.
DP World ILT20 Season 5 will feature some of the game’s biggest stars, including Moeen Ali, Usman Tariq and Finn Allen (Abu Dhabi Knight Riders), Babar Azam, Shimron Hetmyer and Naseem Shah (Desert Vipers), Faf du Plessis, Marcus Stoinis and Mustafizur Rahman (Dubai Capitals), Heinrich Klaasen, Liam Livingstone and David Miller (Gulf Giants), Rashid Khan, Nicholas Pooran and Fazalhaq Farooqi (MI Emirates), and Mohammad Nabi, Sikandar Raza and Adil Rashid (Sharjah Warriorz).
