"VAN" (Sports Desk - 05.08.2025) :: Just moments after going on sale at 14:00 AEST, all 2,027 Superfan Passes — an innovation offering exclusive priority and guaranteed access to tickets—were snapped up in under an hour.
This unprecedented demand marks a thrilling start to the Men’s Rugby World Cup 2027 ticketing journey and confirms expectations that Australia’s first Men’s Rugby World Cup in 24 years will be a must-attend global sporting event.
The lucky 2,027 Superfans now hold a golden opportunity. They will be able purchase before anyone else up to four tickets for any Rugby World Cup 2027 match, from the opening game to the final, within a cap of 52 tickets across the tournament.
Men’s Rugby World Cup 2027 Managing Director, Chris Stanley said: “We were delighted to introduce last week the Superfan Passes, an exciting innovation and a first at a Rugby World Cup, in direct response to what we’ve consistently heard from fans: a desire for certainty and a way to truly go all-in on the tournament. But we obviously didn’t expect such a phenomenal response. To see all Superfan Passes sell out in under an hour shows just how excited fans are to be part of the biggest Rugby World Cup ever-organised and this once-in-a-generation celebration of rugby in Australia.”
For fans who weren’t able to secure a Superfan Pass, there’s still a chance to be part of the action. Registration is now open for the Presale in February 2026, where tickets to all 52 matches, across all price categories, will be available to those who have signed-up before the end of January 2026.
Fans are encouraged to register early at rugbyworldcup.com/2027 to ensure they don’t miss out on the next sale phases.
With today’s overwhelming demand, momentum is only growing—and Men’s Rugby World Cup 2027 is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated and accessible tournaments in the sport’s history, with one million tickets available under AUD$100 and children prices starting from $20.
