"VAN" (Sports Desk - 22.09.2024) :: Tanzania is set to host the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Sub Regional Africa Qualifier A from 20th to 26th September 2024. This tournament will see six nations — Cameroon, Ghana, Lesotho, Malawi, Mali, and Tanzania — battle it out in a league format, with each team playing against the others once. The Tanzanian capital, Dar es Salaam, is ready to welcome the teams and officials for this exciting week of cricket.

Tanzania Cricket Association Chairman, Dr. B.S.Sreekumar said, "I am excited and honoured as we gear up to host the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Sub Regional Africa Qualifier A Tournament from 20th to 26th Sept. 2024. I am immensely thankful to the ICC for considering Tanzania worthy of conducting this tournament once again, after the successful hosting of the ICC Men’s U19 World Cup Africa Qualifier Division 2 last month.

“We welcome the participating teams, ICC officials, umpires, scorers, and guests to our beautiful city, Dar es Salaam, which means ‘haven of peace’. Tanzania Cricket Association (TCA) is doing everything possible to nurture talent and provide an excellent platform for cricketers from all over Tanzania.

"I extend my heartfelt thanks to the Ministry of Culture, Arts and Sports, and the National Sports Council for their constant support. I hope the tournament will be played in the true spirit of the game, and no team will leave without creating fond memories of this great country.”
