"VAN" (Sports Desk - 15.10.2024) :: This week marks the opening of the voting process for the World Athletes of the Year ahead of the World Athletics Awards 2024. The system for selecting the award winners has changed for 2024. Like last year, there will be three separate awards for men and three for women, recognising the athletes of the year for track, field and out-of-stadium events. There will also be men’s and women’s awards for an overall World Athlete of the Year. The nominees for Women’s Field Athlete of the Year and Men’s Field Athlete of the Year have been announced today (14).
