“The Abu Dhabi T10 is so challenging, it’s a huge achievement that we won it,” says Tim David

"VAN" (Sports Desk - 04.12.2025) :: The UAE Bulls’ explosive middle order batters, Tim David and Keiron Pollard, reflected on their team’s successful season as the Bulls beat the Aspin Stallions by 80 runs in the Final of the 2025 Abu Dhabi T10 at the Zayed Stadium. The Australian power hitter broke the record for Most sixes in a season by smashing 38 maximums and also won the “Player of the Tournament” award after the Final.

Tim David delivered a spectacular performance, scoring an unbeaten 98 runs in 30 balls, during which he struck 12 sixes against the Stallions. Speaking about his masterful effort, David stated, “It was my moment today. When you find yourself in such a situation, you have to make it count for the team. It was crucial that after facing a certain number of deliveries, I was present and placed the team in the best possible position. When the momentum started building in the batting, it was clearly very satisfying. Our goal was to score as many runs as possible.”

After a slow start with only two wins in their first six matches, the Bulls finished strong with a four-game winning streak, including their last group stage match and all three playoff games. UAE Bulls Captain and West Indies legend Keiron Pollard reflected upon the team’s performances and said, “At one point, we were nearly eliminated from the tournament. However, the way the team rallied was truly outstanding. Over the past few days, we played a series of intense and high-quality cricket matches, and now, we proudly stand as the champions of this year’s Abu Dhabi T10.”

David shed light on the challenges of this unique format and remarked, “While the T10 format is brilliant and exciting, it is also extremely challenging. Watching so many players deliver outstanding performances and push the limits makes it that much harder to win. It is a demanding format that requires players to start quickly and try to improve as quickly as possible. I thoroughly enjoy playing it, especially knowing that some of the best players from around the world come here to showcase their skills.”

Pollard also praised the contributions of Muhammad Rohid, the 23-year-old left-arm quick from the U.A.E., and said, “Rohid consistently delivered crucial and timely wickets throughout the tournament. While he faced some challenging moments and conceded a few runs, he ultimately rose to the occasion in the matches that mattered the most.”
