"VAN" (Sports Desk - 28.11.2025) :: Ajman Titans’ Akif Javed produced a masterclass in economical bowling, claiming figures of 3/5 his 2-over spell against the Deccan Gladiators. The 21-run victory ensured the Titans are the frontrunners to join the Quetta Qavalry in the Playoffs. The Pakistan international's miserly figures were even more impressive considering his haul included the wickets of Nicholas Pooran, Marcus Stoinis and Andre Russell. The left arm pacer credited Moeen Ali for guiding him ahead of the game, "I would like to thank Moeen Ali and the coaching staff for giving me the plan. I just have to keep things simple and execute the plan that they give me. Moeen Ali always tells me to bowl my heart out as much as I can," Akif said. With nine wickets in six games, Akif Javed is currently the second highest wicket-taker in the competition, trailing Zohair Iqbal’s 10 wickets. With his team now almost assured of a playoff berth, Akif remains focused on the immediate challenge ahead. "We are going to play an important match in the semi-final and we will try to get our team to the final," he stated. The ADT10 continues Akif's strong run of form as he eyes a return to Pakistan national team duties. "The performances are going very well.
