Namaste stands globalised etiquette as positive impact of covid due to health protocol - Prof. Goel

"VAN" (Kurukshetra Bureau - Haryana) :: “Namaste stands globalised as positive impact of covid due to health protocol of social (physical) distancing to replace hugging and shaking hands which is a good omen for internalization of Indianization,” said former Vice Chancellor M.M. Goel, a known needonomist professor retired from Kurukshetra University.

Professor Goel was addressing international webinar organised by JCD Memorial (PG) College, Siirsa on the topic ‘Implications of Covid Crisis on Global Economy including India’ on June 06.

To make the Indian goods attractive for global consumers in post covid era, we have to give brand name to the products of MSMEs which calls for multinational corporation (MNC) status to the Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC), believed needonomist Goel.

The proposal of US president Donald Trump for Indian inclusion in G7 is a good for the Indian economy to emerge as global leader with opportunities, told Goel.

We need to adopt aggresive export oriented approach with diplomacy in pursuing Atamnirbhar Bharat Abhiyan by thinking globally and acting locally as Glocalization. Lip service for Vasudhiava Kutumbakam (the world is one family) as the Indian ethos is not sufficient, said Prof. Goel.

To revive the economy, we have to adopt ‘Needonomics’ ( economics of needs) which is nonviolent, spiritual and ethical in nature and deserve attention of the prime minister and his think tank , believes Professor Goel.

To ensure public participation in post covid era economy, we need to become street smart in using smart phones, explained Professor Goel.
