"VAN" (Sports Desk - 09.06.2026) :: Zinedine Zidane is the only player to score two headers in a World Cup final. He nodded home two first-half corners, delivered by Emmanuel Petit and Youri Djorkaeff from opposite sides, in the 3-0 win over Brazil in 1998. ‘Zizou’ netted more headers inside 20 minutes at the Stade de France than Les Bleus managed at their next three World Cups, with Patrick Vieira getting the only one during that time against Spain in the last 16 in 2006. Although Zidane was more renowned for his mercurial feet, he was also good with his head, using it to score against Czech Republic, Malta and Switzerland and force Gigi Buffon into a spectacular save in the Germany 2006 final. Pele is the only other player to register multiple headers in the World Cup final, though he managed it at different editions: against Sweden in 1958 and Italy in 1970. Cr-FIFA2026
