"VAN" (Sports Desk - 29.11.2025) :: English batter Liam Livingstone hit the match-winning maximum in the super over as Quetta Qavalry beat the Vista Riders in a thrilling contest. Winning all six of their matches, Quetta continued their perfect run so far in the 2025 Abu Dhabi T10 after a hard-fought win, also securing the Qualifier one spot after this victory.
Livingstone has batted at an impressive strike rate of 175 over the six games he has played in. Speaking about the game and their campaign so far, he stated, “We've played some good cricket. Today is probably our worst game, so to still be able to win is a very good sign for us. ADT10 is so fast-paced and full of excitement. I really enjoy playing here. It's nice to be on the right side of a Super Over win, and hopefully we've got our bad game out of the way.”
Reflecting on the closely contested victory, he remarked, “I thought we were pretty average today across all aspects of the game. Winning the games where we haven't played well probably gives us a little bit more confidence than if we had lost. Hopefully, we've got our bad game out of the way, and we can keep building momentum towards the playoffs.”
Livingstone highlighted the unique speed and intensity of the T10 format and remarked, “You must quickly find your rhythm right from the start, as you don’t have time to think. Today's wicket was trickier, making this even more challenging. It's about how quickly you can get going with the bat and how efficient you can be with the ball.”
He expressed his joy at playing at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi and said, “I've played T10 here a few times now. It's a lovely ground, and I enjoy competing in the tournament here. This beautiful venue is perfect for cricket at this time of year, and I just love being here.”
Liam Livingstone and the Quetta Qavalry will be back in action against the Royal Champs later today at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi.
