“VAN” (Dar Rafi – Ganderbal, Srinagar) :: District Development Commissioner, Ganderbal Hashmat Ali Khan today visited Zojila, Sonamarg to take the first hand appraisal of clearance work of the road at Zojila which is blocked due to landslides caused due to cloud burst on Thursday.

During the visit DDC went to the landslide area near the Zojila where he reviewed the progress on the clearance work of the road.

He also interacted with the officials of Beacon who are maintaining the road and directed them to expedite the progress of road clearance work so that the road is cleared at the earliest and thrown open for traffic.

He also directed the concerned authorities to allow the traffic to ply both sides from Minamarg as well as from sonamargonly after the road is made traffic worthy from both sides. He also appealed the People to kindly check the status of the road before starting their journey.

Earlier DDC along with the team of revenue officials visited Pandach-Beehama road project to inspect the pace and progress of work on the prestigious project.

During the visit, ACR Ganderbal apprised the DDC about the progress of land acquisition and briefed the DDC about the pace and progress of work on the project.

The DDC directed the concerned executing agency to expedite the progress of work and clear the bottlenecks, if any, so that the project is completed at earliest for the benefit of commuters as it will provide smooth traffic movement in district Ganderbal.
