“VAN” (Dar Rafi – Ganderbal, Srinagar) :: District Development Commissioner Ganderbal, Hashmat Ali Khan today chaired a meeting to review the status of land acquisition proceedings for construction of various projects under PMGSY and discussed the issues hampering the progress in the completion of land acquisition proceedings.

ADC Ganderbal, Showkat Ahmad, CPO, Anika Mushtaq, ACR, Nisar Ahmad Malik, ExEn PMGSY and other concerned attended the meeting.

During the meeting, the DDC was briefed by the ExEn PMGSY with regard to the status of the land acquisition proceedings and disbursement of land compensation to the owners.

The meeting also discussed the issues deliberately which are causing delay in the completion of land acquisition process.

DDC directed the concerned to maintain/update the record of the land identified for the projects under execution of PMGSY so that there is no confusion during completing the required formalities and disbursement of land compensation to the beneficiaries.

He sought the details about the number of cases resolved so far and the present status of under process land requisition in the district and asked the concerned officers for resolving the pending land acquisition and cases on priority.

He directed ACR to constitute the committee including revenue officials and concerned AEE, PMGY to access the actual land acquisition on the ground and asked to go by the original updated revenue record while doing the land acquisition proceedings so that real beneficiary receives the compensation against the land.
