Taliban bombings in Kabul, dozens dead; Karzai strongly reacts

"VAN" (International Desk) :: The former Afghan President Hamid Karzai described the Taliban attacks in Kabul and Parwan provinces as ‘Cruel and Act of Terrorism’.

The Office of the Former President said in a statement the former president Hamid Karzai strongly denounces the terrorist attacks in Kabul and Parwan provinces which ‘martyred or wounded some our countrymates’.

Karzai further added “I reiterate my call to end this foreign imposed war, for which our people are paying the price. The only way for the Afghans is to unite and resume the intra-Afghan dialogue.”

The Taliban group claimed responsibility for both the attacks in Kabul and Parwan provinces which left dozens of people dead or wounded.

The Ministry of Interior said in a statement that a suicide bomber detonated his explosives on a roadside close to Massoud Square in Kabul city earlier today, which killed 22 civilians and wounded at least 38 others.

Furthermore, the Ministry of Interior said the explosion also killed or wounded several women and children.

Meanwhile, officials in Parwan province said a suicide attack close to Ashraf Ghani’s election rally left at least 26 dead and dozens more wounded.
