Pitru-Paksha and Shraddha Rituals - the Science and clarification of doubts

"VAN" (Delhi Bureau - 19.09.2021) :: ‘Pitru-Paksha’ starts after the Ganesh festival. There is special importance given to ‘Shraddha’ rituals under Hindu Dharma; but owing to lack of information on the significance and the science of performing Shraddha rituals, there are many misconceptions about ‘Shraddha’. Following ‘Dharmacharan’ by performing ‘Shraddha’ rituals with faith due to the knowledge of the science, gives more benefits to the person performing such rituals. Sanatan Sanstha and Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) have, therefore, organised a special discussions program on ‘Pitru-Paksha and Shraddha-Vidhi’ on 19.9.2021 at 7.00 p.m. in Hindi and Kannada languages and on 20.09.2021 at 7.00 p.m. in Marathi. Sanatan Sanstha and HJS have appealed that a maximum number of Hindus attend this program.

Sanatan Sanstha’s ‘Dharmaprasarak’ Saint Nandkumar Jadhav will guide on the subject in Marathi; while HJS’ ‘Dharmaprasarak’ Saint Nilesh Singbal will guide in Hindi, and Sanatan Sanstha’s ‘Dharmaprasarak’ Saint Ramananda Gauda will address in Kannada. In this program, answers will be given to many queries such as ‘Which day in Pitru-Paksha is right for performing Shraddha?’, ‘Who should perform shraddha?’, ‘What should be done when priests are not available for shraddha, in this period of Corona pandemic?’, ‘If the material required in shraddha rituals is not available, then how to perform ‘shraddha in Pitru-Paksha’? ‘What are the remedies for removal of ‘Pitru-dosha’?’, etc.
