Defamation case of Rs 100 crore against Congress for demanding a ban on Bajrang Dal – VHP

"VAN" (Delhi Bureau - 09.05.2023) :: By demanding a ban on Bajrang Dal, Karnataka Congress has compared Bajrang Dal with ‘Popular Front of India (PFI)’ in its election manifesto. It is defamation of Bajrang Dal and Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP)’s Chandigarh Division which has issued a legal notice to Mallikarjun Kharge, the National President of Congress and filed a defamation case seeking Rs 100 crore as damages. The above information was given by Vinod Bansal, VHP’s National Spokesperson, during the online special discussion programmes held by Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) on the topic ‘Is it Congress’ conspiracy to save PFI by demanding a ban on Bajrang Dal ?’

Bansal further stated that Congress has always been maligning Hindus to save terrorists. Bajrang Dal’s activities, in the national interest, are going on ceaselessly. Bajrang Dal has served society during the period of Coronavirus pandemic and different other natural calamities. If Congress was trying to save a terrorist organisation like PFI by accusing Bajrang Dal, it will never succeed. The people of India and devotees of Bajrang Bali will teach a lesson to Congress.

Advocate Shubha Naik, practising in Karnataka High Court, said while expressing her views on the topic that Karnataka Congress has demanded a ban on Bajrang Dal, but no State Government has a right to impose a ban on any specific organisation. Congress manifesto says imposing ban even on PFI, if elected. The Union Government has already imposed a ban on PFI, so what Karnataka Congress is going to do differently ? It is a political move of Congress only for Muslim votes.

Narendra Surve, the Spokesperson of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti said that the comparison between Bajrang Dal and PFI is totally wrong because Bajrang Dal is a patriotic organisation, while PFI is an anti-national and terrorist organisation. Defaming pro-Hindu organisations has always been on Congress’ agenda. Not only Bajrang Dal but Congress has earlier tried to impose a ban on many pro-Hindu organisations RSS, Sanatan Sanstha, and Hindu Janajagruti Samiti, etc., but it never did anything to impose a ban on the jihadi organisation. Hindus are, however, becoming aware of the situation and will stand by all pro-Hindu organisations.
